Polish White-Artichoke
Softneck Artichoke type that we have found does well in the Northeast. Matures earlier than hardnecks for us. Typical Artichoke with larger cloves on the outside and smaller cloves toward the inside. It has silky white skins with occasional light purple to pink marbling, and the perfect “soft-neck” for braiding. Medium heat and true garlic flavor makes this a perfect variety for mashed potatoes. ( Brought to Claredon, New York around 1900 by the Cznowski family, fur traders from Poland.
