An excellent artichoke variety, very large bulbs and cloves, silky white skins with occasional light purple to pink marbling, and the perfect “soft-neck” for braiding make this garlic a real stand-out. Does well in the northeast. Medium heat and true garlic flavor makes this a perfect variety for mashed potatoes. (yes, huge cloves only, few small interior cloves!). Brought to Claredon, New York around 1900 by the Cznowski family, fur traders from Poland.
